Understanding Heavenly Royal Citizenship

In the Family of Christ, you are Royal.

In order for you to understand who you are you must first understand where you come from. This is why history is key. If you knew your family had a history of being in business for shoemaking you would know you have the same creativity and business traits because you share the same DNA. It isn't until someone in the family decides to change the course of the lineage then things begin to change. Just like in the movie Lion King, though Simba was born a king he took on an identity of a peasant by running off to the wilderness. Since he wasn't in his father's kingdom, he had to provide for himself.

The purpose of becoming born-again is to redeem what you lost. The first Adam created a lineage of sinners not kings and rulers. Therefore, Christ had to come to show us who we truly are, our true identity as royals. When you are born-again into the family of Christ you are now a part of a royal family. Imagine if Princess Diana adopted you. How would you feel? How much would your life change? Would you still see yourself as a low paying employee? Would you start to think differently and use the resources you now have access to? What if I told you, you already have access to the same if not more resources than Princess Diana? I know it's hard to believe because you were raised a different way. However, you have to eliminate everything that does not align with what the Kingdom says. The law of the Father is: if you belong to Him, he will care for you and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4 He says if you give good gifts to your children how much more will he give to His? Matthew 7:11 In the movie Princess Diaries, the first step was believing that she was a princess. If you've watched the movie, you know that she didn't believe it or didn't want to. Sacrifices and changes are required when you step into a new identity. Friendships and peers will start to show up differently in your life too. Friends will sometimes become jealous; peers try to attach themselves because they see you becoming an important person. It's heart breaking at first but just know that those who are meant to go with you will. Don't try to take someone along that isn't supposed to elevate with you. It will do you harm in the long run. Trust that God will protect you and sometimes us losing people is him protecting us. I have lost relationships and friendships that I would have never expected. This happens because the higher the level the harder it is to breathe. If you don't transform into the type of bird that can grasp elevated air you will fall to the standard you've accepted.
